As an undergraduate taking his first steps into this young, exciting field, I find your research incredibly fascinating. I can only hope I get an opportunity to do research like this.

Dear Ned, I really appreciate what you have been doing. I am a PhD candidate and I am really interested in neuroscience and language processing. Luckily I have a course named "Neurolinguistic Aspects of Second Language Acquisition" in my Phd program. I have been following you and your studies for one year. I would like to meet you one day and discuss some of my plans for future research. Good luck in your studies. Best Wishes...

No doubt, it can be the one of the best discoveries in neuroscience and language processing.

Hello, Dr. Sahin - I read with interest your recent study on the Broca area of the brain. I'm a court reporter. My colleagues and I take testimony at up to 250 words per minute. We hear the words and, within a millisecond, must press the correct combination of keys on our stenotype machine (which provides real-time English translation to a computer screen). And not just any word, but the right word (i.e., hear v. here, their v. there v. they're, know v. no, etc.) at high-speed. We also must identify the speaker simultaneously, deal with words we maybe have never heard before (an expert witness in neurology, for example), and we strive to include all the punctuation at the same time. I've always wondered at how we do this job, with the thousands of little short-cut briefs we keep somewhere in our head. It's not an easy job, but now I understand it just a little bit more. Thank you for your amazing research. Julie Sorenson
